Could someone please explain to me how to write an <IMG> tag that
will use an image file from a directory above the document.i cant seem to understand the description given in the manual.

I doubt you will read this so I am doing this in vein, but thats ok! :D

If you are trying to upload an image from somewhere on your harddrive, then you have to put the whole path:

C:\

You need to go down from there.  If you don't know what the path is then simply go into the folder with the image you want to use, right click on the picture, and next to LOCATION: It will have the path.  Just paste that after the <img src="

But after you paste it you have to enter the name of the image, ex: coolpic7.gif.
